Yes, I’m talking about XBMC. XBMC is an award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub for digital media. It’s created in 2003 by a group of like minded programmers, XBMC is a non-profit project run and developed by volunteers located around the world. More than 50 software developers have contributed to XBMC, and 100-plus translators have worked to expand its reach, making it available in more than 30 languages. So what we are waiting for?

Here is a installation guide to install XBMC in Ubuntu. XBMC media center can be installed easily by adding below stable PPA:
Open terminal(Ctrl+Alt+T) and paste below lines. Type your password when prompted.
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:nathan-renniewaldock/xbmc-stable sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install xbmc
Enjoy! You are done. Type XBMC in Unity Dash and click the application to launch. Don’t forget to grab popcorn!
Have a nice weekend!
