On Monday, over a quarter of a million people in the world will lose Internet access if they don’t take any action regarding DNS Changer malware. These computers in the world that will lose an Internet connection on 12:01 a.m. EDT Monday. The DNS Changer Working Group has set-up a special website that allows people around the world to check and see if the malware is on their personal or work computer. To check your computer, click on the “Detect” link on the site and follow the instructions on the page.

If infected, in this special website the DNS Changer logo background will appear in red as below.

If it display green background, forget all this crap and be happy. If your machine infected, the DCWG site also includes instructions on removing the malware which including backing up all data and attempting to remove the malware with tools like Kaspersky Labs TDSSKiller, Hitman Pro, Norton Power Eraser or McAfee Stinger.

By the way, still you haven’t header about Ubuntu? If you are using Ubuntu or any other Linux Operating System, forget my rants, this malware crap and be worry free.
